Ayesha is a fictional character portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She is the golden-skinned leader of the Sovereign, a genetically engineered race obsessed with perfection.
Ayesha first appears in *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2*, released in 2017. In the film, she hires the Guardians of the Galaxy to protect valuable batteries from interdimensional monsters. However, when Rocket Raccoon steals some of the batteries, Ayesha becomes enraged and relentlessly pursues the Guardians.
She is depicted as arrogant and power-hungry, willing to go to extreme lengths to maintain the Sovereign's image of superiority. At the end of the film, she is seen creating a new, more powerful being, hinting at a potential return and further conflict with the Guardians.
